Upgrade to Financial Services Cloud Winter '17

Resolution ☐ Step #1: Navigation Setup
Let advisors get around easily in Financial Services Cloud.
 
☐ Remove Account Redirect Override
Edit the view action for account redirect override.
a. From Setup, enter Object Manager in the Quick Find box, then select Object Manager.
b. Click Account and then click Buttons, Link, and Actions.
c. Next to AccountDetailRedirect (Visualforce Page), select Edit from drop-down list.
d. Select No Override (use default).
e. Save your changes.
☐ Configure the Navigation Bar
Show the Lightning Experience Navigation bar.
a. From Setup, search for App Manager in the Quick Find box, then select App Manager.
b. From the list of apps, click Edit next to Financial Services Cloud.
c. Select Show in Lightning Experience.
d. Save your changes.
☐ Configure the Assets and Liabilities Tab
Financial Services Cloud advisors need this navigation tab to access details about their cleints’ assets and liabilities.
a. From Setup, enter tabs in the Quick Find box, then select Tabs.
b. Next to Assets and Liabilities, click Edit.
c. For the tab style, select Scales.
d. Save your changes. The Assets and Liabilities tab now appears on the navigation bar.
 
☐ Step #2: Lightning Pages Setup
Give advisors the most important information about their books of business.
 
☐ Configure the Home Page
Add the new Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) card to the advisor Home page. The RMD card shows clients with upcoming RMD dates.
a. On the Home page, click Setup > Edit Page.
b. Under Upcoming Events, drag the FSC RMD Card component.
c. Save your changes.
d. Click Back to exit Lightning App Builder and then refresh your browser.
☐ Configure the Client Page
Financial Services Cloud now uses Lighting pages for client and household pages. Configure the client record page for clients and households, so advisors can access client and household pages. Optionally, you can also customize the layout of components on client and household pages.
a. From Setup, enter Lightning in the Quick Find box, then select Lightning App Builder.
b. Next to Client Record Page, click Clone.
c. From Lightning App Builder - Client Record Page, click Save.
c. Click Activate.
d. If you chose to assign the page to specific profiles, select one or more profiles and then click Next.
e. After you finish activation, click Back to exit Lightning App Builder and then refresh your browser.

☐ Step #3: Final Upgrade Tasks
Complete these tasks to finish the Financial Services Cloud upgrade.
 
☐ Update Admin and Advisor Profiles
Part of the upgrade process is updating the available record types for Financial Services Cloud admins and advisors.
Repeat these steps for both the Advisor and System Administrator profiles.
a. From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box, then select Profiles.
b. Click one of the following profiles that you haven’t completed yet: System Administrator or Advisor
c. In the Record Type Settings section, click Edit next to Accounts.
d. Drag Business, Household, Individual, and Institution to Selected Record Types.
e. Select Business as the default record type.
f. Save your changes.
☐ Update Page Layouts
Part of the upgrade process is updating the account page and contact layouts so advisors get the appropriate fields for Financial Services Cloud.
a. To add the Related Accounts related list to the Account layout, repeat the following steps for Account (Individual) Layout and Account (Household) Layout:
  1. From Setup, enter Object Manager in the Quick Find box, then select Object Manager.
  2. Click Account and then click Page Layouts.
  3. Click a layout to upgrade: Account (Individual) Layout, Account (Household) Layout
  4. In the palette, select the Related Lists category, and then drag Account Account Relations (Account) to the Related Lists
    section. Tip: To avoid data inconsistencies, confirm that you’re choosing the correct item by hovering over it in the palette. Don’t
    choose the similarly labeled Account Account Relations (Related Account) option.
b. To add related lists for financial information, repeat the following steps for all Account layouts:
  1. From Setup, enter Object Manager in the Quick Find box, then select Object Manager.
  2. Click Account and then click Page Layouts.
  3. Click a layout: 
  • Account (Individual) Layout
  • Account (Household) Layout
  • Account (Business) Layout
  1. In the palette, select the Related Lists category, and then drag the following related lists to the Related Lists section.
  • Household Financial Holdings
  • Financial Account Primary Owner
  • Financial Account Joint Owner
  • Financial Account Roles
  • Assets and Liabilities Roles
c. To update fields for the Account (Individual) Layout:
  1. From Setup, enter Object Manager in the Quick Find box, then select Object Manager.
  2. Click Account and then click Page Layouts.
  3. Click Account (Individual) Layout.
  4. In the Know Your Client section, remove Annual Revenue.
d. To update fields for the Contact (Individual) Layout:
  1. From Setup, enter Object Manager in the Quick Find box, then select Object Manager.
  2. Click Contact and then click Page Layouts.
  3. Click Contact (Individual) Layout.
  4. In the palette, select the Fields category, and then drag Annual Income to the Contact Information section under Birthdate.
☐ Automatically Assign All New Clients Prospect Status
Configure the default value for the Status field. For example, when an advisor adds a client, the default status is Prospect.
a. From Setup, enter Object Manager in the Quick Find box, then select Object Manager.
b. Click Account and then click Record Types.
c. Click Individual.
d. Next to Status, click Edit.
e. Select Prospect as the default status.
f. Save your changes. When you create individual clients, they are given the Prospect status by default.
