A Salesforce Roll-up Summary field displays a spinning hour-glass icon, indicating that calculation is still in progress and the value has not yet been updated. This typically occurs when the roll-up summary field,summarizes a currency field on the Opportunity object and Advanced Currency Management (ACM) is enabled in the org.


Advanced Currency Management (ACM) is a Salesforce feature that manages multiple currencies using dated exchange rates. When ACM is active, roll-up summary fields that calculate currency values on the Opportunity object are automatically disabled, and their values are no longer calculated.

Lösung

To resolve the spinning hour-glass icon on a Roll-up Summary field, first verify whether  Advanced Currency Management (ACM) is enabled in your org using the navigation paths below:

Classic: Setup | Company Profile | Manage Currencies
Lightning Experience: Setup | Company Settings | Manage Currencies

If ACM is enabled, roll-up summary fields that calculate currency on the Opportunity object will be disabled and will no longer calculate values. This is expected behavior when ACM is turned on.

To re-enable currency roll-up calculations, you would need to disable ACM — however, note that disabling ACM may affect other currency management features in your org. Review the implications carefully before making this change.
