Export 'User Profile' system permissions with Data Loader

Data Loader can be used to export the system permissions for a specific profile in the org.

For example, if your organization is auditing security settings or migrating profiles between orgs, exporting profile permissions with Data Loader gives you a full CSV view of all system-level access granted to that profile.

 

Løsning

Use the following steps to export system permissions for a specific Salesforce Profile object as a CSV file using Data Loader. This is useful for auditing profile permissions or comparing access across profiles in your org.

  1. Login to Data Loader and click Export.
  2. Check the checkbox for 'Show all Salesforce objects.'
  3. Select 'Profile (Profile).'
  4. Enter a name for the exported file in the 'Choose a target for extraction' box.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click 'Select all fields' to select all the system permissions (Recommended) or select the specific fields to be exported. 
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Click Yes on the confirmation page.
  9. Click View Extraction to view the data gathered.
  10. While viewing the data, click Open in External Program to open the downloaded CSV file.
