Use Salesforce Outlook Integration to Add Microsoft Outlook Events to Salesforce

게시 일자: Sep 8, 2026
상세 설명

The Salesforce Outlook Integration lets you add Microsoft Outlook events to Salesforce as related Activities, so reps don't have to re-enter meeting details by hand. You can add an event if you're an Attendee (Windows and Mac Outlook clients) or an Organizer (Windows only).

솔루션

This article explains how to use the Salesforce Outlook Integration side panel to add an Outlook event to Salesforce, and lists known limitations and troubleshooting notes for the feature.

Add an Outlook Event with Outlook Integration

  1. Open an event in OWA (Outlook Web Access) or Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016, or Outlook 2019 (retail only).
  2. Click View to open the Outlook Integration side panel.
  3. Select your environment from the Production/Sandbox dropdown, then click Login to Salesforce (if you're not already logged in).
  4. Enter your login credentials the first time you log in. You're redirected automatically.
  5. When you see Connect Outlook to Your Salesforce Account, click Confirm.
  6. You're redirected back to Outlook. The side panel loads within a few seconds.
  7. Click Log Event to relate the event to matching Contacts and Leads, or select records from other objects such as Accounts, Opportunities, or custom objects.
  8. Click Save to add the event to Salesforce.
  9. After the event is added, a green Event Related message appears at the bottom of the side panel.
  10. Go to the Contact record in Salesforce and confirm the event appears under Open Activities.

Known Limitations

  • You can't search for another Contact manually.
  • Outlook Integration does not support adding Recurring Events.
  • For events a rep organizes, the Outlook Integration icon may not appear if Microsoft Outlook isn't up to date. Ask your IT department to install the latest Outlook patches. See Latest updates for versions of Office that use Windows Installer (MSI) on the Microsoft documentation site.
  • When Cached Exchange Mode is turned on in Outlook (a setting we recommend), you may occasionally see an error because an email is temporarily out of sync with the Exchange server. See ErrorItemNotFound error when Office add-ins make REST calls against an Outlook item ID on the Microsoft documentation site.
  • If you edit a logged event's title, description, or other details in Outlook, Salesforce doesn't update those changes. Outlook Integration only updates who or what a logged event is related to, or the event type, after the event has already been logged to Salesforce.
