These instructions are for IT workers or advanced users who know how to view and edit the registry. If for any reason your SFO uninstallation or installation fails, you can use this article to manually clean up your machine and remove all the registry entries, files, and folders from your computer.

Notes**
- [HKLM | HKCU]: HKEY_Local_Machine | HKEY_Current_User hive in the registry
- [WOW6432Node] means to find the keys at the folder without or alternatively in the WOW6432Node folder for when 32bit office is installed on a 64-bit machine
- %APPDATA% is a special environment variable for the application data directory.
The value of %AppData% is C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming
- <username> : the username who is logged in to the machine and installed SFO
- %LOCALAPPDATA% is another environment variable that refers to location of temporary files of applications
The value of %LocalAppData% is C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local
1- Uninstall Salesforce For Outlook from Windows Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features:
Select Salesforce For Outlook and click on Uninstall
Or you can run the uninstall from the Command Prompt for 32 or 64bit installer manually
64bit : msiexec /uninstall SalesforceForOutlook_x64.msi
or
32bit : msiexec /uninstall SalesforceForOutlook.msi
2- Open the Registry Editor and get the package code from:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\UpgradeCodes\D0ADED3E72A08C94A884F94BF6BDD963]
Note**
This key would exist only if you install SFO using the ME ONLY options (Per user) or only for SFO version 2.5-2.7 that only get installer for the user
3- Remove Installer Keys:

4- Remove Salesforce For Outlook Keys:

5- Remove Addin Registry Keys:

Also depending on the way you install the application (Per machine vs Per user) as well as the bitness of your Windows and Office the Add-ins may be in different areas, HKLM, HKCU, Wow6432Node

6- Remove specific Outlook version Registry Keys: Replace XX.0 with outlook version

9- Remove Local Settings Folders Per User:
- %APPDATA%\salesforce.com\Salesforce for Outlook\

10- Remove Executable Folders Per User (installed with the ME ONLY option):
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\salesforce.com\Salesforce for Outlook\

11- Remove Executable Folders Per Machine (installed with the EVERYONE WHO LOGS IN TO THE COMPUTER option):

C:\Program Files (x86)\salesforce.com\Salesforce for Outlook\
12- Remove Outlook User Properties on Mail, Contacts, Events, and Tasks
