Install Salesforce CPQ

Salesforce CPQ are managed packages that can be installed into the Salesforce platform using installation links. You can obtain installation links for the following packages here:
https://install.steelbrick.com/installcpq

1. In your org, make sure to enable the following features or settings:
  • Email Deliverability to All Users
  • Chatter
  • Orders
  • CRM content

2. If you use multiple orgs, log out of all of them except the org you want to install into. Or, use a private browser window to log into the org to complete the installation.
3. Copy and paste the installation link of either CPQ 224 or 226 into the browser address bar. Please submit a case with CPQ Support to receive these install links.
4. When asked, Install for All Users
5. Approve Third-Party Access

When the installation completes, you should receive an email confirmation.

Once upgraded to CPQ v224 (Spring '20) or v226 (Summer '20), please follow this article  to prepare for Permission Set License Assignment.

NOTE:

  • PSLs must replace MPLs prior to install of v228 (Summer '20) and beyond.  Otherwise install will fail. PSL assignment must be verified each time a user becomes inactive or is added as an active user in these versions.
  • Upgrading from a legacy version (222 or earlier) to a current version of CPQ requires certain setup steps that can only be completed in CPQ versions 224 or 226. Certain Org editions may encounter the following error if CPQ is upgraded without first enabling and assigning PSLs in these versions:
    • ERROR: Custom Relationship Limit Exceeded
Cannot create new relationship. Each object can have no more than 40 custom relationships, including Master-Detail and Lookup relationships.
