Salesforce CPQ deactivated products do not affect closed Opportunities

When an Administrator de-activates a Product or its Price Book Entry, previously generated Opportunity Amount and the Opportunity Product are unaffected.
Løsning

Expect the following behavior 

  • Opportunity Product records will not be affected unless a user manually deletes it.
  • Line Items for inactive Products or Products with inactive Prices will show a triangular warning icon next to the quote line in the Quote Line Editor. Hovering over the warning icon will show a message, invalidPricebookEntry, signifying the Product has been deactivated.
  • Individual prices can still be active within a Product that isn't actually set to Active.
