'Default' Case Assignment Checkbox unchecked after page layout deployment

Дата публикации: Aug 10, 2023
Описание

Administrators may notice that the 'Default' checkbox in the case page layout properties is unchecked after deployment.

In the source organization:

  1. Create a case page layout in the source organization.
  2. Edit the layout and click Layout Properties
  3. Under Case Assignment Checkbox, click the 'Default' checkbox
  4. Click OK and save the page layout
  5. Create an outbound change set, add the page layout, and upload to a target organization.

In the target organization:

  1. In the target organization, validate and deploy the inbound change set.
  2. Edit the page layout and click Layout Properties
  3. Notice that the 'Default' checkbox is unchecked
This behavior happens whether page layout is deployed using change sets or ANT migration tool.

Решение

This is expected behavior and occurs if the Show on Edit Page checkbox is not checked in the source organization.

The 'Default' checkbox is controlled by:

  • runAssignmentRulesDefault: Only relevant if showRunAssignmentRulesCheckbox is set; indicates the default value of that checkbox
  • showRunAssignmentRulesCheckbox: Only allowed on Lead and Case objects. If set, a checkbox appears on the page to show assignment rules.

When deploying case page layout, the checkbox "Show on Edit Page" must be checked for "Default" checkbox to carry over in deployment for Case Assignment Checkbox.

Review the Metadata API Developer Guide for more information about including Layouts in deployments.
