The profile Login IP Ranges defines the IP addresses from which users can access Salesforce.
From Session Settings, Enforce login IP ranges on every request option is shown.
When enabled, the profile Login IP Ranges is enforced on each page request, including requests from client applications.
When not enabled, the profile Login IP Ranges is enforced only when a user logs in.
Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
Can the features 'Lock sessions to the IP address from which they originated' and 'Enforce login IP ranges on every request' be enabled simultaneously?
The two features can be enabled together, but the former will supersede the latter, rendering the setup useless. When attempting to access a site with this scenario enabled, you will be able to access the restricted IP range, but you will be able to move to another IP after logging in, preventing you from accessing the Salesforce organization interface.
