Choose an Email Composer from Salesforce

Описание

When you select an email address to compose an email, which email editor do you want to use. You can set any of the email editor as default from your personal Email Settings.

Решение
To make this selection, first login to Salesforce.
In Lightning Experience console, navigate to My Personal settings,

1- Click on your profile in the top right corner
2- Settings | Email | Email Settings
3- Under the When you click an email address to compose an email, which email editor do you want to use? option select the appropriate option
4 -Click on Save.

Salesforce Email Composer
Choose this option If you want to use the Salesforce Email composer instead of your computer default email client.

Default Email Application
Choose this option if you would like to use your computer default email client.

After you make a selection you can test this by performing the following steps: 

1. Navigate to any record in Salesforce, for example, the contact object. 
2. Click on the email address present in the email field on the given object either from the list view or by navigating to a specific record. 
3- This action should open the default email client application on the user's computer if you have selected the Default Email application. This will bring up the email client with the email address you clicked on in the To field. 

Please note that on your Windows PC or Mac computer a default app is set as your Mail Client . you can verify this from:

In Windows: click on the Start button on the left bottom corner and type in Default App settings  to bring up the Default apps.

Under Email  you should see your default email application, click on the application icon and select another app if you need to change it.

Addition information if you are running into issues when trying set Outlook as your default mail client
