Legacy Inbox Retirement

Data pubblicazione: Apr 30, 2026
Descrizione

What changed?

Salesforce retired the legacy versions of the Inbox add-in for Outlook and Chrome extension for Gmail in March 2021.

Why did Salesforce retire these legacy versions of Inbox?

Salesforce wants to focus development on the new versions, allowing us to introduce more enhancements quickly. The new versions are built on the trusted Salesforce platform, making them both more secure and customizable for you.

How did this change impact my org?
You are no longer able to use the legacy versions of our Inbox add-in for Outlook and Chrome extension for Gmail. We’ve introduced new integrations with the same functionality and want to migrate all customers of the legacy integrations to these new versions.

These new integrations will not support PRM licenses or users of personal (non-GSuite) Gmail accounts.

What action did I need to take, and was there a replacement for this feature?
Please migrate to the latest version of the Inbox. Review the Move from Legacy Salesforce Inbox to the Outlook or Gmail Integration with Inbox for specific steps needed to complete the migration.

How can I get more information?
Read more about the improved Gmail integration with Inbox experience within the release notes. Tips for Working in the Gmail Integration with Inbox is a good reference also.
