Salesforce 'Email Relay' with Gmail

You can set up an email relay for Salesforce-generated email by configuring Salesforce to automatically route email through your company’s Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server. 

A Gmail (G Suite) administrator can customize Gmail SMTP relay setup which may involve allowing IPs from Ensure you can receive email from the Salesforce application in G Suite. Once the GSuite setup is completed, the Salesforce administrator can complete the Salesforce email relay setup.

The following Google help document will assist Gmail (G Suite) administrators to set up Gmail SMTP relay with Salesforce: Google Support Doc  This document offers two methods to set up the relay. It might be best to test both methods and apply the one that meets your requirements.

Once the GSuite setup is completed, the Salesforce administrator will need to configure Gmail credentials for SMTP authentication (See: enabling SMTP authentication option in Salesforce) along with the Gmail account application password.
