Error 'We couldn't find you' on First Salesforce Community Login

First time or new users may find an error message: "We couldn't find you" when trying to login to Trailhead, Trailblazer, Dreamforce, and Help and Training Portal even though they have used their correct Salesforce login credentials.

Scenario:

User is directed to the login page when opening Help and Training Site for the first time.

Steps on how the error is received:

  1. Login to Salesforce.
  2. Navigate to Help and Training Portal.
  3. The user is directed to the login page.
  4. The user enters their Salesforce credentials and receives the following error:
We couldn't find you
We didn't find an account associated with those credentials. Sign up for a new account with Salesforce or go back and sign in using a different method.

This error occurs when attempting to access Salesforce community sites (Trailhead, Trailblazer, Help Portal, Dreamforce) without first creating a community account, even if you have valid Salesforce org credentials. The sign-up process connects your existing Salesforce login to the community platform."

Steps To Resolve

  • Confirm that you have not tried to log in before and that it is the first you are trying to access the account.
  • Proceed to click the Sign Up button, fill out the required information, and use their Salesforce account to connect.
