Marketing Cloud - Update Your LINE account to Utilize Your Tenant’s Endpoints

What is happening?

Salesforce is built from the ground up to protect your data and applications. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer trust and security, integrations into Marketing Cloud are recommended to utilize tenant-specific endpoints for improved stability and scalability. LINE customers are currently using click-server endpoints and will require update.
 

What is a tenant-specific endpoint?

Marketing Cloud automatically assigns a unique, system-generated subdomain to each of its tenants. A tenant represents your top-level Enterprise account and its business units, your Core account, your top-level Agency account, or your Client account, depending on your tenant type. Your subdomain is represented by a 28-character string starting with the letters "mc". When your subdomain is appended to Marketing Cloud APIs, it creates endpoints that are unique to your tenant.
 

Who is impacted?

All LINE customers who have not configured their LINE accounts to use tenant-specific endpoints.
 

Where do I find my Tenant Specific Endpoint?

  1. Within Marketing Cloud, navigate to Setup > Platform Tools > Feature Settings > Mobile Studio > Chat Messaging > LINE
    1. This will list all the channels registered within MC.
  2. Click on the channel name and this will open your channel in edit mode:
  1. Copy your tenant’s Endpoint, mentioned within the “Marketing Cloud Endpoint” field (shown with the arrow, above).
    1. To select the whole URL, you can click on the “bag” symbol.
  2. Use this endpoint to replace the webhook registered within your LINE account.
  3. Repeat this process for each of your channels, registered within MC.

How do I know that I have not already configured my LINE accounts to use tenant-specific endpoints?

If the webhook configured within your LINE account is still pointed to something like this “https://cl.s*.exct.net:443/Response_LineOriginated.ashx?channelId=XXXXXX”, it means you need to update the same with the new TSE.

Note: In above click-server endpoint

  • s* → represents your stack
  • channelId=XXXXXX → represents your channel Id registered in MC.

 

How do I update my LINE accounts to use tenant-specific endpoints?

  • Log into MC and copy your tenant’s endpoint.
  • Log into your LINE account and look for the existing webhook endpoint registered there.
  • Click “Edit” and replace the existing webhook with the new copied tenant’s endpoint.
  • Click “Verify” to verify the endpoint.
