Salesforce is built from the ground up to protect your data and applications. As part of our our ongoing commitment to customer trust and security, integrations into Marketing Cloud are now required to utilize tenant-specific endpoints.
Marketing Cloud automatically assigns a unique, system-generated subdomain to each of its tenants. A tenant represents your top-level Enterprise account and its business units, your Core account, your top-level Agency account, or your Client account, depending on your tenant type. Your subdomain is represented by a 28-character string starting with the letters "mc". When your subdomain is appended to Marketing Cloud APIs, it creates endpoints that are unique to your tenant.
Customers who have not configured the Marketing Cloud Connect integration to use tenant-specific endpoints.
Log-in to the CRM Org in which Marketing Cloud Connect is installed. Navigate to the Marketing Cloud Tab, then the click on Settings link on the top right corner. At the bottom of the settings look for the Tenant Specific checkbox. If it is not checked, you are not using tenant-specific endpoints.
Customers who have the tenant-specific checkbox checked.
Navigate to the Marketing Cloud Tab, then the click on Settings link on the top right corner. At the bottom of the settings look for the Tenant Specific checkbox.
If still have questions regarding if you are using Stack Specific Endpoints for your Marketing Cloud Connect integration, please log a support case through the customer success portal.
The Agentforce Sales (formerly Sales Cloud) or Agentforce Service (formerly Service Cloud) admin connects the Sales or Service account with the Marketing Cloud account using the Marketing Cloud API user credentials. This task completes the account-level connection for Marketing Cloud Connect.
You can now manage Marketing Cloud Connect settings and test the connection to complete the setup.
NOTE When you enable Tenant-Specific OAuth Endpoints, your Marketing Cloud Connector Settings are removed. If you are reintegrating, record your settings before enablement.
Yes, all REST API Integrations need to be updated in conjunction with your Marketing Cloud Connect integrations. For instructions how to update REST API Integrations to TSE, please review the relevant Help page here.
