While Tableau Pulse and Pulse for Salesforce are closely related, they offer distinct features and capabilities. Pulse for Salesforce is a purpose-built edition of Tableau Pulse that allows CRM users to access personalized, contextual metrics and insights from Tableau Pulse natively in Salesforce Sales Cloud. Tableau Pulse comes with Tableau Cloud and provides users with the ability to get analytics and insights for users outside Sales Cloud (e.g. marketing, HR, operations). Because users of Tableau Pulse will have access to Tableau Cloud, they will also have access broader capabilities, like the ability to do deep ad-hoc analysis or build customer dashboards.
