Inability to add start and end locations to a Maps Route

When building routes in Salesforce Maps a user is able to specify a start and end location. This can be done individually on each route or configured via user's settings so the locations are automatically populated upon the creation of each route. An issue that may arise is the inability to add a start or end location either from the route or a user's settings. Users may attempt to manually type in an address such as their home or work address and find that Salesforce Maps is unable to find search results. This is working as intended.

Ratkaisu

The start and end locations on routes can only be favorite locations. A favorite location is a saved layer that is not a Salesforce.com record, but is a frequently visited location such as a home or office. Please see the below section that includes links on how to create favorite locations.
