Creating a Marker Layer
Plot Visible Area can be toggled on and off via the mobile settings. When toggled on, Salesforce Maps will only render markers that are on the portion of the map that is currently visible. To find this setting:
1.Click on the gear icon in top left hand corner.
2.Enable Visible Area by toggling the switch.
The following video demonstrates how to enable the Visible Area setting in Salesforce Maps Mobile to resolve missing marker issues:
Note: Enabling the Visible Area option disables geocoding, so any record that hasn't been geocoded previously will not be displayed.
One essential limitation to note when it comes to the Salesforce Maps mobile app is the marker limit. The maximum number of markers Salesforce Maps defaults to on mobile is 1,000. This limit is put in place to increase performance. Try enabling Visible Area if you are plotting layers that have well over 1,000 markers. Or, your admin can increase that value. Just remember that performance may be impacted.
