Manage Additional Email Attributes and URL Params with Parameter Manager

When Parameter Manager is enabled for an account to utilize their Web Analytics Connector, five Additional Email Attributes are automatically added to the Email Properties page when creating/editing emails. 

The names associated to each of the attributes can be modified within Parameter Manager . 
Lösning
To modify the names of the Additional Attributes:
  1. In Marketing Cloud Setup, navigate to Data Management, and click Parameter Management
  2. Expand the Web Analytics string, if necessary click Make Editable
  3. Click Edit
  4. Locate the Additional Email Attributes within the string and update the names of the values associated to each of the personalization strings(example string below):
    utm_source=%%__AdditionalEmailAttribute1%%&utm_medium=%%__AdditionalEmailAttribute2%%&utm_campaign=%%__AdditionalEmailAttribute3%%&utm_term=%%__AdditionalEmailAttribute4%%&utm_content=%%__AdditionalEmailAttribute5%%
 
  1. Click Save
 
 
Additional Information: 
  • Currently the number of attributes cannot be modified. Extra Additional Email Attributes which are not needed can be removed from the Web Analytics string so that they are not appended. Removing the values from the string will not remove them from the Email Properties 
  • If the Web Analytics configuration on your account pre-dates Parameter Manager, and you are looking to increase the number of Additional Email Attributes to the maximum of 5 attributes, please create a case with support.
