Add Campaign button missing in Account Engagement

As of March 25, 2019, Account Engagement accounts are now enabled with connected campaigns by default. With this feature enabled, you can use Account Engagement campaign records to manage only campaign membership. Performing all other campaign tasks, including creation of new campaigns should be done in Salesforce.

The "+Add Campaign" button will only display in accounts where Connected Campaigns is disabled. If it is enabled, all new campaign creation will need to happen in Salesforce. The only way to get the "+Add Campaign" button to display in Account Engagement is to disable Connected Campaigns.

To disable Connected Campaigns, which will allow the “+Add Campaign” button to appear in Account Engagement follow the below steps:

1. In pi.pardot.com:
1.1 Navigate to the gear icon at the top-right corner of your screen.
1.2 Go to Settings.
1.3 Select Edit at top-right
1.4 Scroll down to Connect Campaigns and uncheck the connected campaign checkbox.
1.5 Save the changes."

2. In Lightning app:
2.1 Navigate to Account Engagement settings tab
2.2 Go to Connectors.
2.3 Click on the gear icon, next to salesforce connector
2.4 Select Connect Campaigns tab and uncheck the connected campaign checkbox.
2.5 Save the changes



Note:

  • Campaign is a required field for creating prospects and assets in Account Engagement. Therefore, when using Connected Campaigns, you will want to create campaigns in Salesforce first using a Campaign record type enabled for connection in the Connected Campaign settings, before building assets.
