Behavior in Lightning ExperienceIn Lightning Experience, the inline editing feature operates independently. Disabling 'Enable Inline Editing' in Setup does not prevent Lightning Experience users from inline editing records.
To disable inline editing in Lightning Experience, Contact Salesforce Support, to request this configuration change, as there's currently no self-service toggle available for Lightning inline editing in Setup.
- Adding new Products on Opportunity and Orders
- Adding new Team Members on Accounts
Consideration: If the changes don't appear or only appear partially, navigate to the respective object record, select Setup → Edit Page, and then click Save.
This ensures that updates are properly applied. You may need to repeat this step for all objects where the changes aren't reflected.
