The Related tab in a Salesforce Maps Marker Layer displays data from other Salesforce objects linked to the Base Object (the primary Salesforce object the marker layer is built on). For example, an Account marker layer can display related Opportunities or Cases in the marker pop-up, giving field reps instant context about a customer without leaving the map.

Steps to Add a Related List

  1. Open the Salesforce Maps Marker Layer editor by creating a new Marker Layer or editing an existing Marker Layer.
  2. Select the Marker Pop-ups tab and click on the Related tab.
  3. Click on +Add Related Object.
  4. Choose a Related object from the drop-down menu.
  5. Fields to Display: Click on +Add Field to add fields from the related object in your related tab.
  6. Choose the Order Records By field and Limit Records To setting to control the sort order and number of records shown in your related list.
  7. Add a Condition to filter your related list down to only the records you want to see.
  8. You can add another related object by clicking on +Add Related Object and repeating steps 4 through 7.
  9. Select Save and Plot to save your changes and display the Marker Layer on the map.

Related List Behavior

Activities and child records directly linked to the Base Object are displayed automatically with Related Lists.
