Navigate into the Salesforce Help Portal after logging into a Salesforce org


Note: There is a unique process that occurs when users navigate into the Help Portal from within their Salesforce org. If users have multiple active Salesforce sessions or are logged into different orgs or environments within the same browser, it may result in unexpected issues that prevent users from properly authenticating into the Help Portal.

When navigating into the Help Portal from within Salesforce it is recommended to have only 1 active Salesforce login or session in your browser.

How to Navigate to the Salesforce Support Help Portal

1. Open a new or fresh browser with no other Salesforce sessions and log in using your Salesforce username and log in credentials at:

https://login.salesforce.com


2. Depending on the user interface on any page while logged into your Salesforce org:

 
  • In Lightning Experience: ​​

Click the question mark "?" that's available in the top right-hand corner or header and select the Get Support menu option to be directed to the Salesforce Help portal. See Find Help in Lightning Experience for more details.
 
 
  • In Salesforce Classic:
 
Click the Help & Training link that's available in the top right-hand corner or header.

Note: If users are setup to Enable the Global Header for Communities the "Help & Training" link is found in the Your Name menu's drop-down.


When users navigate into the Salesforce Help Portal from within their org an authentication process is initiated. If the Salesforce User has never navigated to the Help Portal, the process will establish or associate a Help Portal user record to their Salesforce user record. 


If authentication is not successful, users have not logged in previously or have not created a Trailblazer account or profile they may be directed to a page with two options:
 

  • Sign Up - If users have not created a Trailblazer account or profile yet, click this option and then select "Salesforce" and enter your Salesforce production org login credentials to begin.
     

Note: If a Trailblazer account doesn't exist, users will see a "We Couldn't Find You" message. This is expected and users will need to click "Sign Up Using Salesforce" to establish a new Trailblazer profile to then access Help.
 

  • Log In -  If the user has already established a Trailblazer profile, click the "Log In" option and then "Login with Salesforce" and enter your production org login credentials.


In some circumstances, such as changing an existing user record's details like email address or name as examples, the processes on navigating into Help from within Salesforce are unable to identify the proper association between their Salesforce user record and the corresponding Help Portal user record.

This may result in users being re-directed to the Salesforce login page or incorrect details such as support level showing Basic instead of Premier or other Support features being unavailable in the Help Portal.
