Enhanced Click2Create with Maps Connector for ArcGIS

This article explains how to set up and use Enhanced Click2Create with the Salesforce Maps Connector for ArcGIS, so you can map ArcGIS Online feature data directly onto a Salesforce record.

Setting Up a Field Set

First, you need to set up a field set on the object.

1. Navigate to the object and select Field Sets.
2. Select New to create a new Field Set. Name your field set.
3. Drag the desired fields into the Field Set. When you're finished, select Save.

Now that you have a field set, you can move on to creating a Click2Create template.

Creating a Click2Create Template

Now, you need to tell the ArcGIS layer how to use this field set. Navigate to your ArcGIS Layer.

1. Hover over the three dots to the right of the layer name to view the menu options and select Edit.
2. Select Click2Create, then select Create New Template. Salesforce Maps will retrieve the layer/web map data.
3. Designate which ArcGIS layer you want to be connected to. You will also want to designate which Salesforce object for the Click2Create operation (this is the object that Click2Create will actually create). Make sure you also choose the field set you created earlier.
4. At the bottom, you need to map the ArcGIS fields to the Salesforce fields. Salesforce Maps will create a Salesforce record with this data on it.
5. Select either Update Template or Create Template.
6. Ensure the Template is Active.

Using Enhanced Click2Create

1. Select an ArcGIS Feature. Select Actions. Select Click2Create.
2. Select the Field Set you created.
3. Select the template you created via the picklist. The information from the record should be automatically mapped to the object and saved. Select Finish to complete the Click2Create process.
