Because many ArcGIS Online layers can be large, Salesforce Maps now plots ArcGIS Online layers in the visible area only.

Plotting in Visible Area

When you first plot an ArcGIS Online webmap/layer, you may notice that part of it appears "cut off." In order to refresh the layers, select Refresh Layers in this Area in the upper right corner of the map area. This is highly similar to the way Salesforce Maps data layers function.

Timeout

In order to accommodate large sets of data, the Salesforce Maps Connector for ArcGIS Online will also time out individual layers that fail to load. This feature prevents your browser from freezing when you load larger data sets. Layers that fail to load and time out will display an obvious message. To prevent it from happening again, zoom in to reduce the number of features that will load and then reload the layer.
