Starting in Winter '20, Salesforce users can create custom fields on the Opportunity Contact Role object. To make those custom fields visible when a user creates or edits a contact role, the Multi-Line Layout for Opportunity Contact Role must be updated separately from the standard page layout. This article walks through where to make that change in Salesforce.
This article explains how to add custom fields to the Opportunity Contact Role Multi-Line Layout so they appear when a user creates or edits a contact role record.
Newly created custom fields on Opportunity Contact Role do not automatically appear when a user adds a contact role. To display them, update the Multi-Line Layout rather than the standard page layout.
This change applies to Lightning Experience only. Custom fields added to the Multi-Line Layout are not editable in Salesforce Classic, though the data may still be visible in related lists.
