No 'Service Setup' when you click the Setup/Gear icon

When clicking the Gear icon (Setup) in Salesforce, the 'Service Setup' option may not appear in the dropdown menu. This occurs because 'Service Setup' requires at least one of the following Permission Set Licenses to be assigned to the org: Sales User Permission Set License (SalesUserPsl), Service User Permission Set License (ServiceUserPsl), or CRM User Permission Set License (CRMUserPsl). If none of these licenses are present, the Service Setup option will not be visible.

Ratkaisu

This can be fixed by adding the following licenses:

  • Service User license under the Permission Set Licenses section


Steps to Add the Required Licenses

  1. Go to Setup | Company Information 
  2. Scroll to the Permission Set Licenses section and confirm or add the Service User license 
  3. After licenses are added, navigate back to Setup and verify that 'Service Setup' now appears in the Gear icon dropdown.
