About Salesforce Big Object Storage

A Big Object is a Salesforce object type designed to store and manage massive amounts of data (billions of records) directly on the Salesforce platform. Salesforce editions for Contact Manager, Group, Performance, Unlimited, Developer, and Personal Editions are allocated storage of 1 million big object records per org. Big object storage is calculated asynchronously, so new records aren't reflected immediately. Big object record limits aren't actively monitored, but Salesforce reserves the right to enforce limits as necessary. In most cases, allocations are enforced and you can't add records once you exceed them. For active production orgs, big object record allocations are enforced by a contract.

If the default one million record limit is insufficient for your business requirements, please contact your Account Executive to discuss options for increasing this limit.

See the Big Object Storage section of the Data and File Storage Allocations documentation for more details on availability.

How to Request an Increase

Additional record capacity and Async SOQL( Asynchronous SOQL- is a feature that allows querying large data sets asynchronously, available only with the Big Object add-on license) query are only available as add-on licenses.

Salesforce Support is unable to process increase or feature provisioning requests for Big Objects, and you must contact your Salesforce Account Executive for more information.
