User Is Directed to the Setup Page instead of the Default Home Page

Description
User logs in and is directed to the setup page instead of the apps home page.
Resolution


There are two ways to disable 'Make Setup My Default Landing Page' setting.
 

Option A: Affected user can make the changes

 
  1. Lightning Experience: Click the avatar | Settings
Salesforce Classic: Your Name | My Settings
 
  1. Select Display & Layout.
  2. Click Customize My Pages.
  3. Deselect Make Setup My Default Landing Page.
  4. Click Save.

 

Option B: Administrator can make the changes

 
  1. Lightning Experience: Setup | Users | Users
Salesforce Classic: Setup | Manage Users | Users
 
  1. Click Edit on affected user.
  2. Deselect Make Setup My Default Landing Page.
  3. Click Save.
