Error 'List email "ListEmailSubject" was canceled due to an error detected by the system'

When sending a list email with attachments, sometimes, the email is not sent and you may receive an email containing an error message similar to the ones below:
 

List email "ListEmailSubject" was canceled due to an error detected by the system.

Error code: INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_ON_CROSS_REFERENCE_ENTITY
Error Description: EntityObject can not be initialized with null EntityInfo

Lösung

To make sure you do not run into this issue, you need to enable the "Content Deliveries feature can be enabled for users" permission for the user from the Content Deliveries and Public Links setting from Setup.

 

How to enable this permission

In Salesforce Classic
  1. Go to Setup | Customize | Salesforce Files | Settings | Content Deliveries and Public Links
  2. Select Content Deliveries feature can be enabled for users.
  3. Click Save.
     
In Lightning Experience
  1. Navigate to Setup | Feature Settings | Salesforce Files | Content Deliveries and Public Links 
  2. Select Content Deliveries feature can be enabled for users.
  3. Click Save.

If the Content Deliveries and Public Links menu is missing from the Setup menu, submit a new Case to Salesforce Feature Activation and Limits Support Team and request to enable the Content Deliveries permission. For more information about the Content Deliveries functionality, see Set Up Content Deliveries.
