General Fix

This error occurs when the Lookup field behind the related list is not visible to the affected user's profile. Check the Field-Level Security of the Lookup field associated with the related list, and add visibility for your profile or the affected profile to the Lookup field.

Steps (Classic Interface)

1. For a standard object, go to Setup | Build | Customize | <name of object>. For a custom object, go to Setup | Build | Create | Objects | <name of object>.
2. Click Fields.
3. Look for the Lookup field and open it by clicking its name.
4. Click the Set Field-Level Security button.
5. Select the check box in the Visible column for the profile that needs access to the related list.
6. Click Save.

Steps (Lightning Experience)

1. Navigate to Setup | Object Manager.
2. Click the affected object that contains the Lookup field.
3. Click Fields & Relationships.
4. Open the Lookup Field.
5. Click the Set Field-Level Security button.
6. Select the Visible column for the profile that needs access to the related list.
7. Click Save.
