A user is unable to switch to Salesforce Classic from the Lightning Experience. This information also explains how to grant access to Salesforce Classic for specific users.
The following information will assist Admins in checking the User level with profiles and permission sets and to verify what edition of Salesforce is being used to understand why the ability to switch to Salesforce Classic is not possible.
1. User level: Check the User's profile to find out if the "Hide Option to Switch to Salesforce Classic" permission is enabled/disabled. There may also be a permission set that selects the "Hide Option" as noted in the Salesforce Help here to disable the Switcher.
Note: If the permission is disabled and Classic is still not available for your org, and this is an urgent business need, please contact Salesforce Support for assistance.
2. Lightning Only Edition: Do you have Lightning exclusively in your edition? For more information on trials and several editions that offer the Lightning Experience as the only option, please visit this Help Doc. In addition, after upgrading from the Essentials Edition to Professional or higher editions, only System Administrators can switch to Salesforce Classic as noted in this article. Information on the Salesforce Starter editions is available in this additional article.
