Phone numbers that were previously added to WhatsApp on the phone cannot be verified for use as Messaging Channel

Phone numbers that are added to WhatsApp on the phone cannot be verified for use with Salesforce. There are 2
solutions to fix this:
  1. Obtain a new phone number for use with Salesforce (which does require re-approval by WhatsApp)
  2. Remove that phone number from the WhatsApp account on the phone (removing the account or replacing the number with a different one).

HOW TO FREE THE PHONE NUMBER FOR SALESFORCE VERIFICATION (USE):
  1. Open the WhatsApp application on the device
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right corner and select Settings.  
  3. Click on Account
  4. Click on Delete My Account

Here you will select to delete the account or replace the number with a different one.
  1. Select "Change Number Instead" if you want to associate a new number on your device
  2. Assuming you simply want to free this number for use with Digital Engagement-Messaging, enter the current number associated with this account and click Delete My Account.
