Copy a saved Marker layer in Maps

Salesforce Maps shared Corporate Folder structure allows Administrators to create shared marker layers that users throughout the organization can plot to visualize their own important data. These shared layers are read-only for most users, meaning most do not have permission to modify them. However, all users have permission to save copies of these marker layers in their private Personal folder. After saving a copy of a layer, a user may modify it based on their unique needs and preferences.

1. Select the Layers tab in the main navigation bar at the top of your screen.
2. Select the Saved tab, and the Corporate folder to open your Organization's shared folder.
3. Find a saved marker layer you want to modify. The layer may be saved in a subfolder inside the Corporate folder. If you cannot find the layer immediately, try searching for it by name using the Search Saved Layers bar.
4. Hover over the three vertical dots on the right of the marker layer name to open the Layer Actions menu.
5. Click Copy To to begin making a copy of this marker layer.
6. Choose the folder where you want to save your copy of this marker layer. Check the box next to your name to choose your Personal Folder.
7. Click Submit to save your copy of this marker layer in your Personal folder.
 
Editing a Marker Layer

1. Return to your Personal folder. Use the breadcrumb trail at the top of the Saved tab to navigate back Home and select your Personal folder.
2. Find the copy of the marker layer you saved.
3. Hover over the three vertical dots in line with the marker layer name to open the Layer Actions menu.
4. Click Edit to begin modifying this saved marker layer copy.
