Salesforce Maps Permission Set Licenses: Assigning User Access

It’s imperative that you give Users access to Salesforce Maps using the appropriate steps, in the appropriate order. Giving Users access in the wrong order can cause issues in the system. If you try to assign a Permission Set before a Permission Set License has been assigned, you will receive a non-descript error.

To give users access to Salesforce Maps features, you must first assign a Permission Set License (PSL), then assign the appropriate Permission Set. Completing these steps out of order causes a non-descriptive error. Follow the steps in the linked article below, or watch the video walkthrough.
