Maps Marker Layer rendering limits

Prerequisite

• Create Maps Marker Layer

Mobile

Marker layers/queries will max out at 1,000 markers plotted in mobile. This number helps to keep lag to a minimum on your mobile device. As you move across your screen in mobile, you'll need to hit the Refresh layers in this area button to reload markers after scrolling to a new map area.
 

Desktop

Marker layers/queries will max out at 50,000 markers per layer. You can plot up to five 50,000 marker queries at once for a max-out limit of 250,000 markers total.

Admins can also control the size of the end user's maximum marker layer/query size in the configuration:

1. Enter Salesforce Setup
2. Go to Installed Packages - Configure (Salesforce Maps)
3. Enter Permission Groups and select desired Permission group
4. Edit Maximum Records to Plot value (50,000 is still the max available)
