Fix Markers Plotting at Wrong Location or Coordinates in Salesforce Maps

Salesforce Maps geocodes addresses to assign latitude and longitude coordinates to your records. When an address is incomplete, ambiguous, or contains extra data, Maps may assign incorrect coordinates, causing markers to plot in the wrong location on the map. Clearing the coordinates forces Maps to re-geocode the record using the current address data.

Решение

The following steps clear the stored coordinates from the affected record and allow Salesforce Maps to re-geocode it during the next layer plot:

  1. Plot your layer on the map
  2. Left-click the Marker(s) with the wrong coordinates
  3. Select the Actions Tab.
  4. Select Clear Coordinates.
  5. Click on Yes, Including Verified Coordinates
  6. The Marker will be removed from the map.
  7. Re-plot the Layer, then the marker will plot in the correct coordinates.


Note: If your Marker Layer is set to Only Render Markers in the Visible Area, it may not plot after refreshing the layer.
