Troubleshooting Broken Marker Images in Salesforce Maps

This article explains what to do when markers appear as broken images or fail to render at all when plotting a marker layer in Salesforce Maps.

Clear Cookies and Cache

An initial troubleshooting step is to clear your browser's cookies and cache. Clearing these may sign you out of any active sessions, so save any unsaved work first. If this does not resolve the issue, move to the next section.

Allowlist URLs

As a final step, contact your IT team to allowlist these URLs. Salesforce Maps marker images are hosted externally, and your organization's firewall may be blocking them. For example, a company with strict outbound firewall rules may need to explicitly allow the marker image domain before markers will render correctly. If this does not resolve the issue, contact Salesforce Maps Support for further assistance.
