Salesforce Marketing Cloud Disabling TLS 1.1

In order to align with industry best practices for security and data integrity, Salesforce will disable the TLS 1.1 encryption protocol for Marketing Cloud beginning on January 31, 2020.

What is the change?

This change could impact your web browser or API integration connections to the Marketing Cloud, including your ability to log into the Marketing Cloud.

What actions should I take? 

Ensure all connections to Salesforce Marketing Cloud are compatible with TLS 1.2 before January 31, 2020.  The email sending process process for the Marketing Cloud is already compliant with TLS 1.2 and will require no client action.  

How am I Impacted?

Most of our Marketing Cloud customers have already upgraded to TLS 1.2  and will have no impact. Customers who have existing TLS 1.1 connections will be contacted directly by Marketing Cloud.
