Salesforce Error 'Upsert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: REQUIRED_FIELD_MISSING' Scheduling Service Appointment in Dispatch Console

The Salesforce Field Service error "Upsert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: REQUIRED_FIELD_MISSING, Required fields are missing: [Type]: [Type]" can occur when scheduling a service appointment in the dispatch console. The cause of this error is due to the Resource Absence object record type not having a default value for the Type picklist field.

솔루션

To resolve the Field Service error "Upsert failed. First exception on row 0", please follow the instructions below:
 

  1. Go to Setup | Object Manager | Resource Absence | Record Type
  2. Select the record type Break.
  3. Click Edit on Type under Picklists Available for Editing.
  4. You will then see two columns, and those are Available Values and Selected Values.
  5. At the bottom of the two columns, you will see a picklist field with the label Default.
  6. Please choose a default value and then Save.
  7. Do the same thing as well to the Non Availability record type.

 

Note: The "Break" and "Non Availability" record types are available for use with Field Service. If the Field Service managed package isn’t installed, you won't see the above listed record types.
