After running the Lightning Knowledge Migration Tool, the Knowledge tab may appear to be missing because the object is renamed during the migration process. First, verify the updated tab name. If the tab does not already exist, create it manually.

It is possible that the tab is named differently. To find out what is the correct name of the tab after running the Lightning Knowledge Migration Tool, do the following:

The object name on the Knowledge Base Detail will be the name of the tab. If you are not able to see that tab in your list of tabs in Lightning, you would need to create the Knowledge tab by doing the following:
