Salesforce API versions are incremented by 1 with each major release.
Data Loader version also follows this pattern and matches the release's API version.
For example, Data Loader and API version 64 correspond to the Summer '25 release.
Review which API version is associated with each release by navigating to the SOAP API Developer Guide.
Locate the first or left-most drop-down below the 'SOAP API Developer's Guide' page header and above 'Search in document' on the left-hand side of the page.
Click the drop-down to see past major releases and their corresponding API versions and past documentation back to Spring '14 (v30.0).
By default, when you navigate to the Developer Guide, the drop-down will display the current major release API version.
