This article explains the steps for deleting a Lightning email template in Salesforce. Only users with the Manage Public Lightning Email Templates permission or users who own the template can delete it.
You may need to delete an email template if it is outdated, duplicated, replaced by a newer version, or no longer needed for your team's communication workflows. Before deleting, ensure you no longer need the template and consider saving a backup copy of the template content.
Note: The steps in this article apply only to Lightning Experience email templates. Classic email templates use a different interface.
Before You Begin: Only delete a template if you are certain it is no longer needed. Consider saving the template content as a backup before proceeding.
The template is permanently deleted and can no longer be used for sending emails.
