Redirect Policy for Lightning sync setup with the OAuth 2.0 method

During the setup of Lightning sync using the OAuth 2.0 method when the administrator proceeds to the "Accept and confirm Salesforce access to Exchange" section and clicks on the "Log In" button they might see the following error message:

"To connect Salesforce with Microsoft® Exchange using OAuth 2.0, update your My Domain redirect policy setting so page requests are not redirected (recommended). Otherwise, set up your Lightning Sync connection using an Exchange service account."
 

This error is caused due to a setting called "Redirect Policy" present under "My Domain settings" of your Salesforce Org.

Lösning
1. Using the click path given below navigate to the redirect policy settings in Salesforce:

Setup | My Domain 

2. Edit the Policies section and select "Don’t redirect (recommended)" as the "Redirect Policy" value. Click Save.

3. You can review the redirect policy values here: Set the My Domain Login Policy

4. After performing the change explained above, you will be able to continue with the setup of Lightning sync with the OAuth 2.0 method.

Note: After the setup of  Lightning sync with the OAuth 2.0 method has been completed, you can set the "Redirect Policy" value to its default.
