Salesforce Maps Route Limitations

This article explains the maximum limits for waypoints, events, and pedestrian routing distance when routing with Salesforce Maps.

Limitations

When routing with Salesforce Maps, you may be tempted to create a large number of waypoints. However, there are certain maximums:

• You can route up to 150 waypoints with traffic. This includes start and ending waypoints.
• You can route up to 120 waypoints as a time-based route.
• If the routing is in pedestrian mode, the distance between each of the two waypoints must not exceed 3.1 miles (5 km).
• If you're using the schedule, you can have a maximum of 120 Events on a given day.

Note: Based on the complexity of the route, route and schedule optimization requests close to these limitations will lead to optimizations that take up to two minutes to complete. These optimization times are also based on device, network speeds, and connection to Salesforce.
