How to Create a Time-Based Route

This article answers the question: how do I schedule specific arrival and departure times for each stop on a Salesforce Maps route? Time-based routing lets you assign a start time, end time, and duration to each stop, then save the route to a specific date using the calendar interface. For example, a field rep visiting five client sites in a day can use time-based routing to make sure each visit lines up with the customer's scheduled meeting window.

1. Start by adding markers to a route.
2. Select the clock icon to enable time-based routing.
3. Set your route start and end time.
4. Edit the meeting times for your waypoints by selecting the pencil icon.
5. Set the time and any needed notes.
6. Repeat this process for any waypoints that have a given schedule.
7. Save the route as you would any other. Use the calendar interface to choose the date to which you want to save the route.
