Issue
Events that are created in Salesforce Maps whether it be from the New Event button or the Schedule will sync to your Salesforce Calendar. However, you will notice that these events will not sync from Salesforce to your Google or Outlook calendars even if SalesForce for Outlook or Lightning for Gmail is configured for your Salesforce organization.Prerequisites:
Installing Salesforce for Outlook or Lightning for Gmail
Salesforce Limitation
This reduced functionality is a Salesforce limitation pertaining to syncing data created by visualforce pages. Events from Salesforce will only sync if they are created either from Lightning Experience (LEX) or Salesforce for iOS and Android. Events created or edited from Salesforce Classic don’t sync with Google/Microsoft outlook calendar. If the Events are created in Salesforce using API like Workbench/Data Loader or through visualforce pages or synced using any other third-party integrations, they will not sync using Lightning Sync.
Resolution
Salesforce has not offered a workaround or resolution for this limitation. However, if an event is re-saved from the Salesforce Calendar it will then sync to your Gmail or Outlook calendars.
