Drop a pin for bad addresses in Maps

Publish Date: Nov 3, 2022
Description
When a record address is unknown or invalid, it is returned as a ‘bad address’ within Maps. When this happens, you have the option to fix the issue by dropping a pin on the map. Maps will save the coordinates and plot the marker in that location in the future.
Resolution
Prerequisites:
1. Select the link to view Bad addresses.
  • Plot a Marker Layer.
  • Click on the hyperlink under the Marker Layer stating how many bad addresses were found (e.g. 9 geocodes completed. 9 bad address(es)).
  • A list of addresses is shown.

2. Select Drop Pin
  • On the right side of the particular Bad address, click on the Drop Pin.
  • The map will be shown.

3. Click the point on the Map where you want the pin to appear.

4. Salesforce Maps will save the address and plot the marker in that location in the future.
