Drop a pin for bad addresses in Salesforce Maps

This article explains how to use the Drop Pin feature in Salesforce Maps to manually fix a bad address so the marker plots correctly going forward.

Prerequisites

• Plot Marker Layers in Maps

Fix a Bad Address

1. Select the link to view bad addresses.
   • Plot a Marker Layer.
   • Click on the hyperlink under the Marker Layer stating how many bad addresses were found (e.g. 9 geocodes completed. 9 bad address(es)).
   • A list of addresses is shown.
2. Select Drop Pin.
   • On the right side of the particular bad address, click on Drop Pin.
   • The map will be shown.
3. Click the point on the map where you want the pin to appear.
4. Salesforce Maps will save the address and plot the marker in that location in the future.
