Unable to map StartDate and End Date on Task import through Data Loader

When importing Task through Data Loader or when migrating Tasks from one organization to another, you might have the StartDate and EndDate columns on your .csv file. However, there are instances where those fields are missing from the field mapping in Data Loader. Here's how you can resolve it.

Activate 'Enable Multiday Events' feature in Activity Settings


In Salesforce Classic

  1. Go to Setup | Customize | Activities | Activity Settings
  2. Select Enable Multiday Events.
  3. Click Submit.


In Lightning Experience

  1. Go to Setup | Feature Settings | Sales | Activity Settings
  2. Select Enable Multiday Event.
  3. Click Submit.
